Damn, that's awesome! Go to the discharge summaries of my friends, the Brown (Ivy League), and Stanford. Wow, just wow. Do you have the fact that they all that in your application, because it is unbelievable. The universities want more than academic genius. You want (people with personality and activities on campus to participate in what seems to do).
In my opinion, maybe I should be applied in some schools in the Ivy League. UCLA is a "public Ivy," though, lol. I think it is not a problem is assumed. Have fun at college! I wish you the school of their choice.
(Unless you go to a reputable, well-known private school / college, which probably is not that he went.)
I think you have a good chance. Your UC GPA is based on 10-12 A through G courses anyway, so it should be more than 4.0 Weighted be OK, especially with all the extra curriculars. Also, I am not sure but I think his chances to win when you compete for fewer major.
You have an academic is competitive enough to have the opportunity to get into any school that you want. But they were poorly informed of any reasonably well-known university that shows preference for his high school. You just do not. In fact, the arrival point where the high school diploma means nothing, since the rules of public education in the United States are so terrible. Are much more interested in their standardized test scores and their further participation in extracurricular activities. This is the motivation.
